About Karen Kay Gill
Karen has a career span of 33 years in the Financial Services Industry. Of these, she has served 17 years in the Banking Industry and currently 16 years in the Insurance Industry, as an Insurance Advisor with Sagicor Life Inc.
Karen also joined Simpson’s Insurance Agency Ltd., Agent for Guardian General in Belize, in early 2017. Very early in her career, she completed numerous courses in the insurance industry, earning the ‘FSCP’ Financial Services Certified Professional; along with such awards as ‘Rookie of the Year’; ‘Highest Persistency’; ‘Quality Awards’; and most recently qualified as a ‘Million Dollar Round Table Aspirant’.
Her deep passion to serve, and humble nature, has propelled her through the years. Karen’s true joy and priority, is placing the interest of all her clients first and foremost, and seeing them achieve their goals. She takes a holistic approach, in the financial health and welfare of all her clients, providing sound advice and diligent service, that provides a healthy standard of living for generations to come. As a Mother and Wife, Karen is very family oriented. She serves on several committees, such as the ‘Mother’s Union’; ‘Youths’; and ‘Outreach’; all reaching out to make a difference in the lives of all people she encounters, especially in the community of Belmopan, where she resides. She believes that any job worth doing, is worth doing well.

Guardian General Insurance Limited in Belize
On January 1, 1987, Guardian General Insurance Ltd (GGIL) commenced operations in Belize trading under the name N.E.M (West Indies) Insurance Ltd (NEMWIL) with Agency representation from Victor L. Bryant & Company Ltd until 2010. In August 2008, GGIL expanded its operations in Belize with Balderamos Insurance Services (Belize) Ltd (BIS) which is owned by Mr. Eddie Balderamos. We have now added Simpson’s Insurance Agency to our family of Agents.
GGIL has been an active player in the Belize Market for over three decades, with authorization to transact all major lines of P&C Insurance business. GGIL continues to make substantial strides in this market in with growing market presence and goodwill.
